Château du Breuil - St Denis la Chevasse

During the Revolution, François Aimé Masson joined the Princes Army abroad. After Terror, he returned to Saint Denis Chevasse and he bought the property Chateau du Breuil : He is named Kright of Saint Louis by the King Louis XVIII in 1816 in recognation for its services.
He was mayor of the village from 1808 to 1820.
During the restauration period the old manor collapsed. In 1860 Sir Jousseaume boughtthe chateau and rebuild the existing castle.
Today the property is refitted as a "Chateau hotel".
The property is today a witness of the self suffficent life during the 19th century with the hunting lodge, stables, blacksmith, workshop washinghouse, baker's oven, vegetable garden.
